Have Some Questions?
Explore below FAQs below
Is Bee Venom Honey a Food Supplement for Pets
For the first time in New Zealand, new health products for pets with bee venom have been developed and manufactured for oral application. This includes our honey with bee venom and fish oil.
Our bee venom is sourced responsibly and processed with precision to ensure the highest quality and safety standards. The safe and beneficial for health dosage of bee venom in the products was scientifically substantiated. The main advantage of this technology is the possibility of standardisation of bee venom dosage in a final product.
Bee Venom Dosage in Manuka Honey for Dogs
The concentration of bee venom is 25ppm (part per million). It equals half a sting (0.5 sting) in a teaspoon of honey. The major advantage of creamed honey as a carrier is that its consistency helps to increase the time honey with venom dissolves in the mouth, and therefore, the beneficial effect of the bee venom will be much higher (the dissolving time of liquid honey is much shorter). This is the most important factor of honey with venom consumption.
When liquid honey with bee venom is quickly swallowed or dissolved in the mouth, its beneficial effect will be decreased, and if taken with water there will be no effect at all, because the stomach ferment (pepsin) will destroy all bee venom ingredients.
Bee Venom Beneficial Properties
Bee venom, also known as apitoxin, has been traditionally used for various health benefits, and its potential role in joint health has gained attention. Research suggests that bee venom therapy, or apitherapy, has been used for centuries in various cultures for its medicinal properties. While more studies are needed, the existing research supports the potential of bee venom in promoting joint health.
Natural Anti-Inflammatory Power
Bee venom is rich in compounds like melittin, which exhibit potent anti-inflammatory properties thanks to stimulation of secretion of adrenal hormones such as cortisone in blood. Inflammation is a common culprit in joint problems, contributing to pain and reduced mobility. Bee venom works to naturally combat inflammation, providing relief to sore and achy joints.
Support Blood Circulation
The venom's ability to support blood circulation is a key factor in promoting joint health. Improved blood flow means better delivery of oxygen and nutrients to the joints, supporting their overall function and aiding in the repair of damaged tissues.
Cooling Sensation for Joint Comfort
The application of bee venom can create a cooling sensation on the skin. This cooling effect is particularly beneficial for soothing discomfort associated with joint problems. It acts as a natural analgesic, helping to ease pain and improve your pet's comfort.
Balancing Act
Bee venom may help regulate the immune system. An imbalanced immune response can contribute to chronic inflammation and joint issues. By promoting a balanced immune system, bee venom contributes to a healthier joint environment.
Fish Oil Beneficial Properties
Fish Oil is widely recognised as one of the best natural sources of Omega 3 fatty acids and beneficial for joint health.
Essential Fatty Acids (EFAs)
Fish oil is a powerhouse of Omega-3 fatty acids, including EPA and DHA. These essential fats play a crucial role in reducing inflammation, supporting joint mobility, and maintaining overall joint health.
Lubricating Joints
Omega-3s act like a natural lubricant for your pet's joints, reducing friction and promoting smoother, pain-free movement. This is especially beneficial for aging pets or those with joint concerns.
